Brian Longest is the editor and his background is a programmer, intellectual property attorney and a serial online entrepreneur having raised Venture Capital on both coasts. Brian has been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1976 and move to Silicon Valley for three years to start PodShow (now Mevio) and assist with Jangl.

Brian Longest is currently a partner in Phase One Accelerators (along with Chris Breshears), an online business accelerator and incubator. Phase One Accelerators assists online businesses and incubates new, such as the recently launched Raise for Future.

Previously the COO of Jangl having assisted the board with a strategic sale of the company. Jangl allowed consumers to exchange text messages, phone calls and voicemail without sharing their real numbers, clients included Match.com.

Prior to that Brian joined the two founders of PodShow (now Mevio) prefunding, and became the SVP of Operations and Interactive Marketing. Brian was instrumental in obtaining funding, hiring, operations, overseeing engineering, legal, IT, and more, all while growing from three people to over 70 employees and millions in revenue. Brian reported to the board, and Mevio was funded by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital, and Sherpalo Ventures, with follow on funding from DAG.

Prior to that, Brian was CEO and founder of UtopiAd, a permission based online marketing company, and raised venture capital multiple times on the east and west coast with Commonwealth Associates in NY.
