Automattic Received $29.5 Million for WordPress and More

Automattic provides the WordPress blog, Akismet, bbPress and Gravatar. Automattic is the parent company for WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Akismet, bbPress and Gravatar. While all their products are widely used, they are probably best known for WordPress, I just added it as a blog for Venture Capital Update, take a look here are the VCU blog. As you can see it can have the same look and feel as it is highly customizable. There are also many plugins available created by hundreds if not thousands of developers as the main platform is open source.
Their works are open source and available to install on your own or with respect to WordPress you can use their fully hosted version. WordPress.com is fully hosted while WordPress.org provides the downloadable version.
