Campus Explorer Received $2.25 Million for College Web Search

Campus Explorer received a B round of funding. The Campus Explorer site is a search and directory of colleges. They are attempting to compile the most comprehensive database of college information, including curriculum, study programs, tuition, application requirements, and even the average campus weather on more than 6,000 schools. The database includes two and four year colleges, career and technical schools and online programs.
Campus Explorer stated they will use the funding to invest in product and technology development. According to them, they had 10 months of consecutive revenue growth, and a 2500% jump in year-over-year site visits from January 2008 to January 2009, the company is positioned to continue building momentum.
