Virool Raises $6.62 Million

San Francisco, California – Virool, a self-serve social video advertising platform that allows anyone with a video to reach their desired target audience on Facebook, mobile phones and niche sites has raised $6.62 million of seed funding from a number of top VC firms though none led the funding and more like all VC’s equally participated.
The participating venture capital firms include Thomvest Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurveston, 500 Startups, Phenomen Ventures, TMT Investments, DominateFund and FundersClub. Aside from private equity firms, top angel investors also participated including Y Combinator partners Paul Buchheit and Garry Tan, Loopt Co-Founder Sam Altman, Yuri Milner, Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter, former Yahoo CTO Farzad (Zod) Nazem, early Zappos investor Erik Moore, Plug and Play, Ventures, and Promus Ventures Founder Mike Collett.
According to Virool CEO Alex Debelov, they are the one who pics the VC firms and investors for the new round of funding which will be used to accelerate the product and its services.
