Mountain View, California – Luminate, a photo tagging service and dubbed as the adsense of image advertising has raised $10.7 M of series C funding from top venture capital firms Nokia Growth Partners, Google Ventures, Austin Ventures, CMEA Capital and Shasta Ventures.

Luminate was previously known as Pixazza and is currently serving more than 150 million users each month and 30 billion image views per year. As part of the funding, Managing Partner of Nokia Growth Paul Asel will join Luminate’s Board of Directors.
