Tynker Raises $3.25 Million of Seed Funding

Mountain View, California – Tynker, a new computing platform designed specifically to teach children computational learning and programming skills in a fun and imaginative way has raised $3.25 million of new funding from 500 Startups, NEA, Felicis Ventures, NewSchools Venture Fund, Cervin Ventures, GSV Advisors, XG Ventures and other angel investors.
The startup aims to teach kids learn the basic of programming. According tp Co-Founder and CEO Krishna Vedati, he was inspired when his son attended a programming camp at Stanford which costs $1,100 and was taught to build a game for 2 weeks and returns home not knowking the basics of programming.
