The RealReal Raises $14 Million of Series B Funding

San Francisco, California – The RealReal, an eCommerce store offering pre-owned authentic luxury and designer brands like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton , Gucci and Cartier in discounted prices even up to 90% off has raised $14 million in series B funding led by InterWest Partners and backed by existing Canaan Partners, e.ventures, Greycroft Partners, Novel TMT Ventures, Panarea Capital and individual investors Suzy Welch and Sukhinder Singh Cassidy.
“We’re changing the way people view their designer wardrobe and luxury items,” said The RealReal founder and CEO Julie Wainwright . “We offer consignors a way to get a return on what they originally paid for their designer items, effortlessly and lucratively. And, we offer shoppers a fun way to shop.”
The new capital will be used for growth and expansion and for new product development like search, a mobile app and personalization functions.
