Dwolla Raises $16.5 Million of Series C Funding

Des Moines, Indiana – Dwolla, a free web based software platform which allows users to send, receive, and request funds from any other user with a maximum fee of only 25 cents per transaction has raised $16.5 million of series C funding.
The new round of funding was led by Andreessen Horowitz and backed by previous investors Village Ventures, Thrive Capital, and Union Square Ventures. The new capital will be used in enhancing its enterprise flagship products and also for global marketing.
