Kansas City, Missouri – Leap2, a software developer that is revolutionizing mobile search by combining instant web with social media content has raised $1.6 million of seed funding led by Dundee Venture Capital and backed by OpenAir Equity, Linseed Capital and Wichita Technology Corporation.
“By integrating images and social into search results, users gain perspective on whatever they’re searching for,” explained founder and CEO Mike Farmer. “We’re not in the business of creating sponsored lists. We’re empowering users with the information and perspective they need, while adding an element of serendipity to search that creates ‘a-ha’ moments.”
The new mobile search applications, available for free on Google Play and the iTunes Store, provide results from a variety of sources — tweets, photos, reviews and more. By combining the serendipity of Web surfing with the precision of search,
Leap2 is now available at the itunes store and Google Play.
