Seattle, Washington – GraphLab, a graph-based, high performance, distributed computation framework written in C++ has raised $6.75 million of series A funding from Madrona Venture Group and NEA.

GraphLab was developed at Carnegie Mellon University 5 years ago and being used now by top brands including Pandora and Walmart Labs. Former Amazon Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Washington is the CEO of the company.
