Recorded Future Raises $12 M of Series C Funding

Cambridge, Massachusetts – Recorded Future, a predictive start-up which pulls data from reliable websites and uses them to predict the future has raised $12 million of series C funding from Balderton Capital and google Ventures.
As part of the financing from Balderton, Bernard Liautaud, a partner of the start-up is joining the board. The company has now raised $20 million of funding. Past backers includes In-Q-Tel (the venture arm of the CIA), IA Ventures and Atlas Venture.
According to the CEO and co-founder Christopher Ahlberg, Recorded Future will be launched today as semi-stealth mode although it has been providing services for the Defense Department for a while already.
