Twilio Raises $70 Million of Series D Funding

San Francisco, California – Twilio, a cloud communications company which reinvents the telecom industry by merging the worlds of cloud computing, web services and telecommunications has raised a gigantic $70 million of series D funding led by new investor Redpoint Ventures along with prior investors Bessemer Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
As part of the funding deal, Scott Raney of Redpoint ventures joined the board of directors of Twilio.
