Cambridge, Massachusetts – Apptopia, a marketplace for brokering mobile app acquisitions has raised $1 million of seed funding from Mark Cuban, a tech entrepreneur who owns the Dallas Mavericks and backed by Expansion Venture Capital and other angel investors.
The new seed funding will be used for marketing strategies. Apptopia allows app developers to sell their apps together with the source codes and ownership to buyers. The company gets 8% of the transaction and another 2% for the credit card fees. Apptopia helps process the transaction for the start to the end.
