ParStream Raises $5.6 M of Series A Funding

Palo Alto, California – ParStream, a real-time big data analytics platform that filters and analyzes billions of records has raised $5.6 million of series A funding led by Khosla Ventures and backed Baker Capital, CrunchFund, Data Collective, Tola Capital and a group of angel investors.
“ParStream is challenging the established database vendors with its unique approach to solving the need for analyzing Big Data fast enough to drive realtime action. It allows companies to solve Big Data problems much faster and at a much lower cost and we see applications for this technology across several industries,” says Shirish Sathaye, partner at Khosla Ventures.
The funding will be used to accelerate the companies plan on venturing to global market and expanding its services. As part of the funding, Shirish Sathaye of Khosla Ventures will be joining the board of directors.
