Flashnotes Raises $1.8 M of Seed Funding

Boston, Massachusetts – Flashnotes, a crowdsourcing start-up for students selling their notes and students seeking notes to help with their studies has raised $1.8 million of seed funding from angel investors Ryan Moore, Jordan Levy, Michael Lazerow, Paul Sethi, Paul Tedeschi, Sachin Jade and Abigail Coxsen.
Flashworks platform allows old and new students to upload flashcards or notes in particular subjects and sell it to other students. The uploader gets 80% of the price and Flashnotes gets 20%. Stduents who purchases study materials can rate sellers and those with high feedback became superstars in the marketplace and those who felt they had been cheated with the notes they purchased can get their money back.
