Udacity Raises $15 M of Series B Funding

Palo Alto, California – Udacity, a start-up with focus on bringing University grade education for free or at very low cost in all parts of the world has raised a series B funding amounting to $15 M from Andreessen Horowitz and backed by existing investors Charles River Ventures and Steve Blank.
The company now has a total funding of $21.1 million and as part of the deal Peter Levine of Andreessen Horowitz will be joining the board. Udacity will use the new funding to continue building its technology platform which will now include mobile application and adaptive learning techniques.
