Appcelerator Raises $15 M of Series C Funding

Mountain View, California – Appcelerator, a provider of open source platform for building and managing rich Web, Desktop and Mobile applications has raised $15 M of series C funding from Mayfield Fund, Translink Capital and Red Hat. The funding was also backed up by Sierra Ventures, Storm Ventures and eBay.
The new funding will be used to expand its market reach in Europe and Asia and continue to develop more mobile platform apps and support its flagship mobile development platform Titanium.
Appcelerator also announced that they are the largest 3rd party mobile developer for Apple and Android.
