Maker Studios Raises $36 M of Series C Funding

Culver City, California – Maker Studios, a next generation and independent network on YouTube featuring original contents and artists has raised $36 million of series C funding led by Time Warner Investments and backed by Greycroft Partners, GRP Partners, Downey Ventures (Actor Robert Downey’s venture firm), Daher Capital and a number of angel investors.
“We’re extremely excited and grateful to have the support of Time Warner and our other investment partners, who are some of the most respected names in media and entertainment, and are thrilled that we will be able to provide even more resources and opportunities to our valued network partners,” said Danny Zappin, co-founder and CEO, Maker Studios.
The new funding will be used to expand its services and also for hiring new world-class talents.
