Zynga Received $10 Million for Games on Social Networks

Zynga raised $10 Million in their Series A from Avalon Ventures, Foundry Group and Union Square Ventures.

What does Zynga do?

Zynga creates games for social networks.

VCU says:

Zynga creates games solely for social networks, the Zynga Gaming Network. Zynga has something for everyone: casino games, word games, board games, role playing games and party games which can be found on Facebook, Bebo, Friendster and meebo.

Their model is to sell advertising in the applications, which they do however it is to others that wish to attract attention to their applications.

I read that the company is break even and not yet using the venture capital.
