ShoZu Received $12 Million for Connecting Mobile to Social Networks

ShoZu raised $12 Million in Series C funding from SEB Venture Capital, Atlas Venture, Crescendo Ventures and TTP Ventures.

What does ShoZu do?

ShoZu is a provider of mobile social media services.

VCU says:

ShoZu is a provider of mobile social media services. ShoZu connects mobile users with their social networks, personal blogs, photo storage sites and more.

They claim their technology speeds uploads of photos and video clips from the mobile to the Web. They also have full-resolution photo and video delivery without compression.

ShoZu also states in their Press Release that the application will ship pre-installed on more than 50 million mobile phones in 2008. As of the writing of this article the number of users downloading the ShoZu client to handsets is more than doubling every quarter, with more than 100,000 users currently registering every month.
