Gimado Received $300k for a Music File Search Engine

Gimado raised $300,000 in seed funding from an undisclosed individual investor.

What does Gimado do?

Gimado provides a search engine for downloadable and streaming music files.

VCU says:

Per the Gimado blog it appears they were funded, however the funder has not disclosed their identity, see the post here.

Their search service merely points to files and does not store physical copies of the files on their site. This is obviously an attempt to dance around copyright issues as well as save disk space and bandwidth costs.

Take a look at Gimado.
