TargetSpot Received $8.6 Million for Streaming Audio Advertising Network

TargetSpot raised $8.6 Million in Series B funding from Bain Capital Ventures, Union Square Ventures and Milestone Venture Partners.

What does TargetSpot do?

TargetSpot operates a streaming audio advertising network.

VCU says:

TargetSpot is an advertising network with the traditional model of advertisers and publishers. However their niche, as many advertising networks have been focusing on distinct industry segments, is streaming audio.

What is unique about TargetSpot is the self serve nature. You may open an account with as little as $50, upload your audio advertisement, target it, and begin a campaign.

They also have a tool so you may create a professionally sounding advertisement easily and quickly without having audio expertise. Creating the audio advertisement was previously a large hurdle for many to overcome, using the TargetSpot tool allows audio ads to be more accessible to a wider audience and thereby increases the value of TargetSpot.
