Mercado Software has received a total of $11.5 Million.

What is Mercado Software?

Mercado Software is a provider of e-commerce search, navigation, and merchandising solutions in America.

Who Invested?

The Challenge Fund (Israel-based Venture firm) and Consensus Group are first-time investors in Mercado Software. Other existing VC funds are Pitango Venture Capital, Eucalyptus, Star Ventures and Valley Venture Capital (formerly Mofet).

What will they use this funding for?

Mercado claims to use this money to support its global expansion and new research and development initiatives.

VCU says:
Mercado has experience in providing innovative and effective e-commerce Search & Navigation and Advanced Merchandising solutions to leading U.S. retailers for almost a decade. Mercado assists with the online challenges including cross-selling. Their solutions work to improve both the customer and the merchant experience.

Mercado’s CSN (Commerce Search & Navigation) has over 50 customers including the likes of JC Penny, Sears, Macy’s, Williams-Sonoma, and Tower Records.
