Tapatap Raises $2.5 Million

Tapatap raises $2.5 Million in their series A funding from Gabriel Venture Partners.

What does Tapatap do?

Tapatap is not yet available, however they state “We are pioneering Mobile 2.0 where applications can be downloaded and shared for free and work seamlessly across web, wap, and rich mobile clients.”.

What will they use this funding for?

Expect them to use it in the launching of their service and building their team.

VCU says:

Tapatap has not yet launched, however it appears to be a mobile solution offering social networking or other web 2.0 features and functionality.

This is one to watch in order to see what they do in fact launch. Sign up for their service by entering your name and email on their homepage. You will be notified when their service is ready.

The management teams pedigry seems to fit their goals as they are former Infospace executives that were active in mobile gaming. Links to their bios are below.
