SplashCast Media Received $4 Million for their Social Advertisements

SplashCast Media received $4 Million in Series A from Mark Bayliss and Emergent. Previously they received $2 Million in seed funding.

What does SplashCast Media do?

SplashCast Media creates opt-in marketing vehicles for social networks and marketers.

VCU says:

SplashCast Media states that 260 Million splashcasts have been served. Brands and media companies may use splashcasts to reach the demographic of teenagers and young adults in social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook.

A splashcast can be shared among friends and embedded on any web page. Using their content management system the marketer can broadcast any desired digital content, including videos and pictures to music and interactive games, directly to the splashcast and the users viewing the page.

Another statistic they note is reaching 8.5 million unique users each month, while Sony/BMG, Universal Music, MTV, AEG, and PBS are among its customers.
