Realtime Worlds Received $50 million for Online Games

Realtime Worlds received $50 Million in a third round from Maverick Capital.

What does Realtime Worlds do?

Realtime Worlds is an online game company.

VCU says:

Realtime Worlds describe themselves as a software technology company specialising in the entertainment sector. They created ‘Lemmings’ and ‘Grand Theft Auto’.

They state that they “believe the future of video games lies in massively multiplayer on-line gaming (MMOG) and constantly evolving worlds with real players and communities.

They are based in Dundee, Scotland, with 185 employees and an additional 40 employees in Seoul, South Korea, and a recently opened office in Colorado, USA.

Currently they have two new games, one is named ‘APB’ which is a MMOG for the PC and ‘Crackdown’ a game for XBOX 360.
