Vlingo Received $20 Million for Voice to Text for Mobile

Vlingo received $20 Million in series B funding from Yahoo, Charles River Ventures and Sigma Partners.

What does Vlingo do?

Vlingo provides carriers with a voice to text translation interface for their mobile services and applications.

VCU says:

Vlingo provides voice to text translation for mobile. We read that Yahoo invested as they are going to use the Vlingo services to voice-enable OneSearch. The search will work by allowing a user to speak a search query.

Anywhere an application has a text box the application will allow you to speak your entry.
