April 19, 2007

Lithium has raised $9 Million in Series A funding from Shasta Ventures and Emergence Capital Partners.

What does Lithium do?

Lithium creates a suite of community products helping companies connect with their customers.

VCU says:

Lithium provides a hosted solution for creating online communities, forums, and social networking sites that incorporate a variety of communication methods for companies. Applying the features and functionality of consumer facing web2.0 technologies they are attempting to enhance customer interaction to increase sales and decreased customer care costs.

Their forums enable customers to interact in a group setting, asking questions and obtaining additional information both before and after the purchase.

Lithium’s “LiveContact Chat” allows customers to chat in real time one on one or in groups.

They also provide private messaging, blogs, search and polls.
