CastTV Raises $3.1 Million for Video Search
April 25, 2007

CastTV has raised $3.1 Million in Series A funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

What does CastTV do?

As of the writing of this article the service has not yet launched, however they do state that the service will be video search.

VCU says:

We read that this video search company is “backed by” Marc Andreessen, not sure if that is to imply seed funding or just guidance and mentoring.

They state that, and we quote, “CastTV has developed proprietary and defensible technology to meet users’ online video search needs, and we are building a world-class team to propel the company forward,” from their CEO.

On their homepage you may sign up to be notified when their search has launched.
