RoyaltyShare Receives $5 Million for Royalty Processing
May 1, 2007

RoyaltyShare raised a series B round of $5 Million from Trident Capital.

What does RoyaltyShare do?

RoyaltyShare is a royalty processing platform and customer service for digital distribution resulting in sales data consolidation and royalty reporting.

VCU says:

Industry experts predict that digital music will comprise a third of all sales by 2008.

From the RoyaltyShare site:

“[RoyaltyShare is] focused on providing comprehensive royalty accounting services to record labels, music distributors and music publishers. RoyaltyShare’s solutions were built from the ground up to manage the complexities inherent in digital distribution. Our services allow customers the freedom to pursue new revenue streams by providing the back-end support required to manage multiple and inconsistent data sources and accurately compensate artists, publishers and songwriters.”

Their system is 24/7, so you may manage royalty reporting anytime. See the founders backgrounds, both from eMusic.

Interesting service, take a look and see the RoyaltyShare site here.
