Intercasting Raises $12 Million for Mobile Social Networking
May 9, 2007

Intercasting’s raise of $12 Million was Series B financing led by Venrock, and previous funders participated, Avalon Ventures and Masthead Venture Partners.

What does Intercasting do?

Intercasting provides what they call ANTHM(TM) a mobile platform for social networking and community services.

VCU says:

Intercasting provides web-based Social Networking Services with a user interface for mobile phones allowing consumers to more easily access their social networks. As you know, there are few websites (social networking sites included) that look good in your typical phone browser, unless they are created for mobile phones or have a mobile phone text version. As soon as you attempt to provide a multimedia experience most sites break down on the mobile phone. Intercasting seems to have solved that problem.
