NearbyNow Received $11.75 Million to Buy Offline Merchandise Online

NearbyNow received $11.75 Million in series C funding from Norwest Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

What does NearbyNow do?

NearbyNow allows internet shoppers to view merchandise at offline stores and reserve for pickup.

VCU says:

I can see the value of NearbyNow, many times you need to go to the store before you purchase. Obviously there are many reasons you may want to touch and see the merchandise before you purchase it, or perhaps you do not want to wait for an item to be shipped and would like to pick it up. However, why travel to a local branch of the store that you found online only to hear that it is not in stock. That is where NearbyNow comes into play, they will let you know if the item is in stock and allow you to reserve it.

NearbyNow has also revealed a new mobile service for the Apple iPhone that allows shoppers to graphically navigate a shopping center, search local inventory, and reserve items for pick up.
