May 23, 2007
Greystripe received $8.9 Million from Steamboat ventures, a venture capital firm affiliated with The Walt Disney Company.
What does Greystripe do?
Greystripe distributes ad-supported mobile games and applications, and has a mobile in-game advertising network.
VCU says:
Greystripe’s product line is called AdWRAP. An ad-supported model allows the mobile conent to be free. They claim they operate the world’s first in-game mobile ad network and the world’s first ad-supported mobile game distribution platform, and I have no reason to queston that.
The AdWRAP advertising network takes full screen images, videos, and scrolling banners and dynamically delivers them into mobile games and applications.
Greystripe is reaching millions of mobile game players through GameJump.com. the world’s largest free, ad-supported mobile game portal.
