June 29, 2007

CarDomain received $3 Million in funding from it’s cofounder Alex Algard.

What does CarDomain do?

Cardomain is an online community for auto enthusiasts and an online store.

VCU says:

CarDomain survived the first internet bust founded in 1998. They created and sustained a revenue stream and after 9 years has taken $3 million.

Revenue streams are from advertising as well as e-commerce. Their community offers extensive information and for car enthusiasts, and Netratings states 3.8 million monthly visitors who view 75 million pages creating a large advertising inventory. Their e-commerce revenue comes from over 14,000 products.

It appears the funding will be used to increase their user base and create a social network for car enthusiasts.

Take a look at CarDomain.
