Loopt Receives $2.25 Million for Mobile Social Mapping
July 20, 2007

Loopt received $2.25 Million of a total $12 Million available in their Series B round from New Enterprise Associates and Sequoia Capital.

What does Loopt do?

Loopt lets you find your friends on a map on your mobile phone.

VCU says:

Loopt works on mobile phones and using location-based technologies, allows you to know where your friends are by automatically updating maps on your mobile handset.

You may then send messages to nearby friends or receive automatic alerts when they are nearby so that you never miss an opportunity to meet. You can essentially put yourself on a map for your friends to locate you.

You can create a profile, shares photos, and tag places. Take a look at Loopt.
