Minekey Raises $3 Million for Personal Recommendation Widget

Minekey received $3 Million in Series A funding from NEA IndoUS Ventures.
What does Minekey do?
Minekey provides a widget to benefit both advertisers and publishers.
VCU says:
Minekey is interesting as it is not apparent what the value is on first read. They state that bloggers and other website hosts use their recommendations widget to present the most relevant content for each online user, based on what they are currently reading or have read before.
The idea is to have publishers place the widget on their site thereby creating an ad network for Minekey. To convince publishers that the widget is not yet another advertisement, they attempt to provide relevant content to each unique visitor within the widget. Publishers can create widgets and place any feed they like within the widget.
After reading the Terms of Service, unless I am mistaken the revenue from advertisements within the widget are not shared with the publisher.
