Bill Gannon

Bill Gannon is a co-founder of SpongeFish. He is the Director of Online Production and Programming at Lucasfilm Ltd. where he is responsible for all online activities at Lucasfilm Ltd. The newly redesigned starwars website, under Bill's direction, was just named to Time Magazine's Best Websites of 2007. He was formerly Senior Editorial Director and Managing Editor of Yahoo! Inc. Gannon created a number of new products and services at Yahoo! including the Yahoo! Buzz Log, The Yahoo! Netrospective, and the Yahoo! Time Capsule. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Gannon was Editorial Director & Managing Editor of Financial Engines Inc, and was a national correspondent for The Star-Ledger of NJ, and Newhouse Newspapers Inc., where he covered national politics, terrorism, investigative reporting, and conflict beat reporting including wars in Africa and the Middle East. He is a former John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University, and has received a number of national journalism awards. He currently teaches online journalism with Dan Gillmor at the University of California-Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.

Stewart Bonn

Stewart Bonn is a co-founder of SpongeFish. He joined Electronic Arts in 1983 as one of the first employees and produced many of Electronic Arts' most successful titles during his 12-year career. As Senior Vice-President and General Manager of EA Studios, he directed the development for all PC and videogame cartridge game development for four years. In 1999, Stewart joined There, Inc., a massively multiplayer Internet services start-up where he was Vice-President, Production. In early 2006, Stewart joined Bix.com, a social media company, as Co-Founder and Vice President, Talent. Bix was acquired by Yahoo! in January 2007. Stewart earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

David Porush

David Porush is a co-founder of SpongeFish. Most recently Executive Director of SUNY Learning Environments. He was an award-winning professor at Rensselaer and William and Mary and has been given grants from the Fulbright Foundation, Luce Foundation, Sloan Foundation, National Endowment for the Humanities, Apple Corporation, Rensselaer, and MIT, where he earned his BS. He is co-founder of the Society for Literature and Science and is on the boards of several community and charitable organizations.

Ilya Nikolayev

Ilya Nikolayev

Prior to launching Familybuilder, Ilya Nikolayev worked at JP Morgan Chase in their finance group. There he computed and mitigated credit risk for large derivative transactions. Before joining JP Morgan, Ilya worked on projects within the automotive aftermarket field and is the holder of several innovative patents. Ilya graduated cum laude with his B.A. in Economics and Politics from New York University. He also received a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from NYU.

Andrew Merkatz is co-founder of Familybuilder. Andrew is also the Managing Partner and Founder of CountryRoad Capital LLC, a New York boutique investment firm with investments in both public and private equities. Prior to founding CountryRoad Capital, Andrew served as Managing Director and CFO of Verus International, a New York based merchant banking firm focused on high growth sectors such as healthcare, technology and security. Prior to joining Verus, Andrew was President and CEO of Predict It Inc., a publicly traded internet company. Previously, Mr. Merkatz was the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of SiteSpecific, one of the first internet advertising agencies. Andrew received his B.A. in Economics with Distinction from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Brad Edelman is a co-founder of PlayFirst. Prior to forming PlayFirst, Brad was a Principal Engineer at Macromedia (now Adobe) where he was an architect. Brad is also the founder of Uccello Games. Before Shockwave, John worked at SEGA where he led the specification effort for the Sega Dreamcast Network. He has also served as a steering committee member of the International Game Developers Association's (IGDA) Online Games and Casual Games groups. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Computer Science from MIT and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts.
